UB Rowing Wins Varsity Men's 4 & Novice Men's 8

Yesterday, the UB Rowing Club raced at the Head of the Buffalo hosted by BSRA. It was nice to race close to home against college crews John Carroll and Clarkson. We entered many boats giving most of the varsity rowers a chance to race more than once. The varsity men raced in the collegiate doubles, varsity four and varsity eight. The varsity women raced in the collegiate eight and collegiate four. The novices raced for the second time this season after gaining valuable experience last week at their first. We entered two novice men’s eights and one novice women’s 8.

The varsity men’s four had the best result of the day. They posted the fastest time of the course for the day with a 15:58. The novice men’s eight also got a first place finish with a time of 18:26.

UB Rowing has one more race to finish of the season. We will travel to Saratoga for The Head of the Fish, hosted by SRA, next Saturday.
