UB Rowing Adds Sculling to Program

Last week Hudson delivered two sets of sculling riggers to make our pairs into doubles. We have also been borrowing a single that we have equipped with pontoons. It allows our rowers to get out on the water on these cooler spring days. We are excited to add this into our program. It gives us more flexibility with getting all of our athletes out on the water every day. Sculling will also help elevate our technical skills. Long term it gives our athletes a way to stay involved in the sport longer after they graduate.

Our men and women have been out in the doubles and the singles for the past week. Our sweep rowers are learning a new skill. The experienced high school rowers are enjoying putting their previous experience out on the water.
